AMTRAK/SEPTA regional rail line needed an update of this station at Churchman’s Crossing in Newark to better serve passengers utilizing this facility. Where there had once only been concrete stairs with a wheelchair lift, now required elevator access from street level to the train platform, twenty feet below. The project had some intricacies requiring careful planning, not the least of which was to temporarily stabilize the slope as not to disturb or undermine major utilities.
